There is a lot to enjoy in the summer such as hiking, cycling, rafting, canoeing, golf, swimming, archery and much more, or just relax on the terrace and enjoy the view and the tranquility of the chalet. The majority of activities mentioned below are reachable in less than 30 minutes driving from Chalet Stuhlfelden. The rest of the activities is reachable within an hour driving from our chalet.

SWIMMING

Erlebnisbadesee Uttendorf/Weisssee Is a big recreational area where you can swim, enjoy sunbathe or play tennis.

Der Zeller See is the biggest lake in the area close to the house.

MOUNTAIN HIKING

There are numerous hiking routes in the Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden area. A selection of walking routes near the chalet can be found below:

Bamerronde is a known short hiking trail of an hour in Stuhlfelden that pass by our chalet.

Uttendorf-Weisssee-Manlitzkarweg is a 10 minutes walk from hour chalet. Via the short trail Pinzgauer wandelroute you can reach the moutain top Pihappenkogel (2117m). From this top you can reach the Manlitzkogel (2250m). This is a safe walking route. The last part from Pihappenkogel to Manlitzkogel is walking in the open nature (the Alm) where no trails are indicated. So caution is advised!

From Almgasthof Burglhutte hut (about 25 minutes drive to 1700m hight) you can do different mountain hiking routes: 2 hours to Gaisstein; 8-10 hours to Zell am See; 6-8 hours to Bochumer Hutte-Aurach-Tyrol; 4 hours to Jochberg; 4 hours to Mittersill; 5 hours to Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

From our chalet or the Burglhutte hut you can reach the famous hiking route Stuhlfelden-Mittagskogel-Manlitzkogel-Rabenkopf.This is about 6 hours hiking trail.

For archery fans there are several 3D trails where you can practice in both winter and summer in in-door and out-door facilities. See also the archery village of Stuhlfelden.

NOSTALGIC SUMMER TRAIN TRIPS

Pinzgauer Lokalbahn offers a truly nostalgic train round trip in a stream train. The train makes a round trip from Zell-am-See to Krimml and stops at Stuhlfelden train station.

HISTORICAL CHURCH VISIT

Give a visit to the village church of Stuhlfelden. It is a beautiful old church that is probably the oldest in the region.

HISTORICAL CENTER OF ZELL-AM-SEE & BOAT TRIPS

Visit the old center of Zell-am-See and combine your visit with a boat trip on the lake of Zell. Depending on the boat rental company you can get an electric boat, row boat or a paddle boat. The boat rental companies are: Berger booteScheicher Boote or Sport2000 Simon. You can also just relax and take the round trip boat on Zell lake.
